Thanks for the tip. I cleaned the effects send and return jacks but, it ended up being my volume pot on my Les Paul. Thumbs up to the guys at Tube Depot for picking out a great sounding set of Winged C SED 6L6 and EL34s. These guys use Boogie Amps and know there stuff.

I sent my back to Mesa about 4 years ago and Mike put the r2 volume control on the back and did the mark III+ mods to it. Great amp.

Is this a expensive repair?

What could cause the volume drop on my Mark 3? I have tried new power tubes but, it didn't help. Could it be caused from a bad preamp tube?

Looking for the best overdrive to use as a clean boast or overdrive with a Mark III? Wanting something to use as a alternative to R2 for rhythm playing.

Anyone using a Fulltone OCD with there Mark III? Currently I have Been using a Xotic AC Boaster as a overdrive for a rhythm playing instead of using rhythm 2 on the Mark III. I tried the Fulltone OCD at Guitar Center thru a Lonestar Classic and it sounded killer with my Paul. Haven't tried it...

Just wondering if a plate current of 24.1 and 23.6ma will work with my Mark III. I will be running these with a pair of Mesa EL34 442s in the outer sockets.

I'm noticing a difference in volume in the channels on my Mark III. Could it be something as simple as the V2 preamp tube going bad, because if it where power tubes it would be all channels?

I bought a set of the Mesa EL34 STR 450s for my Mark III and didn't like them a bit. Well maybe a little but, I think the 442 sounds better. Mesa no longer sales the EL34 STR 442s. Where can I find them?

It burnt a small part of the bottom of one of the 6L6 sockets. That is it the best I can tell. I looked inside and didn't see anything else. I think its just the bad EL34 that red plated the first go around. Thanks for your input.
