Just wondering if a plate current of 24.1 and 23.6ma will work with my Mark III. I will be running these with a pair of Mesa EL34 442s in the outer sockets.

Hi there,

If you haven't already, check out this thread, and scroll all the way down until you find my post. I've asked a bunch of questions about this.

But if you have the tubes already, just pop it in and see what happens. From my understanding, those plate current figures are meaningless, as the tube suppliers got those numbers with a different plate voltage than in our amps.

You'll be hard pressed to get the inner sockets of a MkIII to run hot with those 6L6's. The outer sockets are a different story. The STR-442 EL-34's will also run cool, but 6L6's in the outer sockets need a check on the current draw, to be safe. :D
