Where are the heads?

I can confirm that as well. I ordered mine the first or second week in Jan. and they said I was one of the first orders and will receive one from the first batch. I talked to my dealer (not GC) on Tuesday and apparently there was some sort of delay and heads will be shipping the last week of May/first week of June. He told me mid June at the very latest. :shock:

I believe everyone here, but I don,t get it...if theres a delay (again!) for guys like us who ordered way early, told we were assured one from the first run, how come these other folks who just placed an order last month or so have heads?

And one of em is in the frickkin UK?!

What happened to first come, first serve?

Does anyone know how/why that is? I sure would like to know. Thanks

Mesa really fulckded up on this. Fill the orders in the order they come in. Really bad attention to business detail when we have the web.

So I went to my dealer again (I am sure she is getting sick of me asking the same question every 3-4 weeks) to confirm delivery date. She had 2 different Mesa Reps call her and say the same thing. Heads are slated to be shipped the last week of May for Canada (pretty much right now). The tentative arrival of said heads is very end of May, first 2 weeks of June.

I recounted the concerns listed here of heads being delayed and such, so she has taken to emailing Mesa regarding my specific order and hopes to hear back today regarding this. I ordered Jan 15th or so, and had never been given a firm date until I got the end of May early June one from her 2 months ago. So far, this date has not changed, so I am hopeful that I will have my amp soon. However, I am a realist and know that being in Canada it could be delayed at the border for days or weeks.

I will update when I hear back from my rep in the next few days.

I,m **** near ready to just cough up an extra 2 bills and get a combo.

This is starting to get ridiculous. Every month turns into the next, but now with the added insult that some folks who just recently ordered an amp have one, and buyers who have been waiting patiently for 4 months to a year still don,t...not cool at all.

Don,t we at least deserve an explaination? :? (I won,t hold my breath)

only 1 bill extra for a combo. its a good deal, you get athe convenience of a cabinet and speaker plus storage space for the footswitch for 100 bucks extra. Plus casters. you can probably sell the speaker on ebay for 100 bucks.

Depending on what I learn between today and tues., I just might go ahead and do that, (provided I can find one somewhere by now.)

Spoke with GC today and thier system had a date of June 14th for my head. I hope this one is firmer than the last one they gave me. I'll wait either way, but I am anxious, especially since there are a few heads out there and the combo's have been out for a while. I guess if you look at the numbers, there are only a few heads out there, so there are a lot of people in the same boat. Oh well, it gives me a few more weeks to finish my homemade 2x12 and 4x12 cabinets to go with the amp!

Cool. Lets hope that these are some cats at a GC who are somewhat (gulp!) reliable, and that date is at least approximate to within afew days.

I have,nt even called my dealer here lately, because frankly, I don,t want/need to hear it. Next time he hears from me, it will be to either pick up my amp, or to work out some type of refund...

I,m sure we,ll here the old, "you,ve waited this long, what,s another couple of weeks" saying again. And you know what? They,re right... let,s wait another couple of weeks...again

Then, on the 14th, we,ll just see if this time is simply more of, "my dealer called his rep today, he said that there was a delay of chicken gizzards, collard greens, imported red wine, caviar, BMV,s and paid escorts...but once they have that, they should be shipping no later than the end of july, early august". :roll:

At which time I,ll be telling my dealer to refund my money, have a nice time, and call me when they actually have a Mark 5 physically in their store. :mrgreen:
