In 1979, 16 years old, I bought a Music man 212HD, had it 2 months before I blew the speakers playing outdoors, sold it for $200.00 and bought a 1972 Marshall 100 watt head that I still own.

My first tube amp was a Fender Deluxe Reverb. Made for a great practice amp, but that was it. Only had it for 2 years then traded up to a Mesa Boogie MKIII.

My step-Dad bought it new... It became mine.

I inherited by brother's Ampeg Reverberocket and fried the speaker! First one I bought was a used Acoustic G60T two-channel Mark II clone. I couldn't afford a real Mark II in 1982. Kick-*** amp and weighed a ton.
