Weber Cali Channel 2 (Drive)...LSC

How does the Weber California sound on the Drive channel (Channel 2 with drive engaged). I spoke with the guy from Weber today and he said If your using any type of overdrive, including the amps own overdrive, then this speaker wouldnt be your choice, rather the Chicago would be a better choice. He likened an over driven California to putting an overdrive pedal thru a PA system. Please tell me your experience. Thanks.

I too would be interested in this before I purchase new speakers. Found great youtube videos of Weber Blue Dogs but nothing of the California or Chicago and the clips on the Weber sight are very hard to compare what they use vrs a LSC.

I don't know about that, I used to have a MK IV WB Combo I purchased used w/the Weber Cali speaker in it...and it sounded phenomenal overdriven......and clean too.
