I just purchased 4 veteran 30's for a cab project i am doing to make my main cab and was wondering what you guys would suggest for breaking them in and if any what tone differences am i gonig to notice about theses.

p.s i was using a marhsall mg series cab so this is a big step up

also i am front loading the speakers cuz thats how the peavey cab i am using is designed as the back doesnt come off. so how will this affect the tone of the speakers

I tried the veteran 30's with my Dual rec...

My experience with them was they didnt have anywhere near the lows that a Celestion V-30 has. Much thinner sounding to my ears with harsh highs.

I promptly went back to a stock Mesa cab with Celestions and tweaked it in and have been happy.

I am curious what you think though after you get them dialed in.

I haven't personally tried one yet, but from what I understand, Diezel's front loaded cab has a tighter, more focused, more 'in your face' sound than their rear loaded cab. Both are v30 loaded 4x12s. Dunno what other factors (if any) contribute to the difference.

thanks for all the replies. ill post my thoughts on the speakers after friday cuz thats when i really get to crank it at practice.

So i recieved my speakers this morning and WOW this is a big tone change and in a good way.

The speakers sound more "in your face" being front loaded and theres alot more bass then what i had.

ill compare theses to my friends Celestion Vintage 30 loaded orange cab tmrw at practice.

But for cranking it after breaking them in wow these things sound amazing and well worth the $280 for speakers.

The peavey cab is the same dimensions as a stilleto cab and i am impressed
