strats typically are lower output guitar (obviously) then humbucker. This is the reason 100w amps exist; headroom. The 50w setting is more for a crunchy, saggy clean. Case in point. Country players all use Twins or Roland JC or similar for clean, cleans.
I have a LSC and know what you're saying.
PS, you get a bit more heft when the loop IS engages with the level dialed up to at least 12 oclock.
Point being, the 100w SS option is on the amp for a reason.
