Any GSP1101 owners know how you can set the unit to boost volume for solos?
Assuming the 4CM config and always using the External Preamp (that of my Marshall head) I need to be able to switch to a patch or engage something within a patch to get a little extra volume.
Since you can't place the stompboxes after the preamp I can not emulate the old trick of a booster in the FX loop (kicking up the signal from pre to poweramp).
Does the Preset Level of a patch effect the volume when the external preamp is in use? Or only when the GSPs preamp is being used?
My ability to test is limited as I can't really use my tube amps at home....so just trying to get some theories together.

Thanks!

Preset Level does change the overall output onboth INT and EXT settings.

I typically just copy my rhythm preset to the next one, tweak it for a louder, solo type tone and save it. Works great.

:D
