here is a video clip of my band's rehearsal. i'm using a dual rectifier triple channel (can't see it cause it's off to the side) :(

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVDEEzyxJ9Y

the audio is basically taken from the actual camcorder. we're gonna hook up a condenser mic to the camcorder to get a better sound next week.

post tone suggestions, advice and stuff. thanks!

PS: the gear used is listed in my sig.

Sounds pretty good to me...wish it was a bit clearer, but looks like you guys have some great stuff going!

thanks. yeah, it's a bit blurry and the lights were dimmed. this was our first attempt at it, but we'll make it better for the next one. and i will move my amp so it's in view :) gotta show off that MESA ! lol

sounds pretty good especially for youtube and camera mic, and it doesn't hurt that your singer is pretty cute

thanks all for the comments! we tried recording again this week with a condenser mic but we had some problems. we'll try again next week. also, we'll try to make it brighter too.

yeah, another lefthand. Good job guys, i know how camcorder can destroy every song when it used in the same room without a separate mic track. Keep on rollin'.

i just posted another video from the same rehearsal night:

Nice and tight grooves. Love the walls!! Hot Chick adds to the vibe.

Only suggestion that I have is mic the bass drum and bring her vocals up front.

Sounds great for not being externally miced!

I like both clips, cam corders are a usefull tool. The DR sounds good but would like to here a better recording. If you guys have a demo or cut one I want a copy!

You guys mostly play in the NY area?

we're recording this summer and will post an update here :)

we play mostly in NYC and Jersey.

we're gonna record again next week using the camcorder and different audio equipment, probably a condenser mic running to a toneport UX2. we'll probably mic the drums as well.

thanks again for the positive feedback!
