Hi guys,
I asked a question recently about changing the transformer in my Mark V as I moved from UK to Canada, believing that I had to do this but I asked Mesa via email and got the following reply:
Greetings
So actually...you are just fine. I spoke with our tech and the reality is that yes..we do have two different transformers (Export and Domestic) and the Export version can be wired for 117volts where the domestic version transformer can ONLY be wired for 117volts and nothing else. In your you have an export transformer in the amp and it can indeed be wired for 117 volts thus you are all set to rock.
Thanks
Kris
And I just got the amp back from the tech who just changed the voltage taps - it sounds awesome!!
Just a bit of info for you!
Cheers,
Jim
