Does anyone have any recommendations for tubes for a 2:90 and a Triaxis? I want to have one channel that can blow you away, but I'm also looking for a warm, saturated, thick tone that can produce a smooth lead. Doug's tubes recommended using either Ruby 6L6GC MSTRS or Winged=C=sed for the power tubes. He also said try 1 Tung Sol, 2 Shuguang's and 2 JJ's for the preamp tubes on the Tri. Anyone ever try any of these combinations?
Eurotubes gave me quite a few possibilities with the JJ's, but that just confused me more, ha ha.
I want to love this amp, but I'm just not there yet.
