Hey, I just got the Triple rec. I had a fuse replaced, It powers up but two of the six 6L6s aren't glowing is that normal? What does it mean? Im still waiting for my cab to arrive so I haven't checked if its functional yet therefore its in standby. Are the other 2 going to light up when I connect my cab and go off standby? Or perhaps the tubes are blown? Thanks!

Regardless if your amp is in standby or play mode, it is highly recommended that you have the proper speaker load
connected at all times. Some say it's just to be safe, I think it goes without saying, never turn an amp one esp. a tube
amp without a proper "load".
As I sit here I am wondering why turn on an amp without speakers? Just to see the pretty lights?
I can tell you when I turn on my amp in the standby mode my power conditioner starts to correct the voltage
as it is sucking up power. Not like when it is in cranking mode but I am probably just one of those ignorant fools
who has to have oil in my car engine before I start it up. I don't like the pretty oil light glowing.
/cheers

I hear you, borrow someones speaker cab. Hook it up, or wait.
Just trying to save you some headaches.

Thanks man, turns out one of the middle plastic parts in the bottom of the tube was broken off during shipping, which lead air to get into the tube and mess up the vacuum. Thats why I've blown a fuse, and thats why 2 6L6s blown. Replaced the fuse, waiting for the tubes to ship. Problem fixed. Thanks for the insight dude.
