My trusty old Voodoo Labs Trem pedal has suffered a horrible death (mildew damage). I'm thinking about buying another one. It sounded great and gave me about 8 years of solid performance. Are there any others brands I should try just for fun?

How about this?

a way to add footswitichable tube tremolo to your amp!

I absolutely HIGHLY reccommend

the SUPA TREM by Fulltone.

This is the best tremolo I have tried, BAR NONE.

IT is incredible.

Click on Supa-Trem at below address

IMHO.

Do not buy a tremolo Until you have tried out this tremolo.

Seriously.

Good luck,

WORD OF WARNING!!

Make sure that it is compatible with your Boogie. Some of the Boogie power tube arraingements are not as simple as standard old push pull designs.

I contacted Area51 about the possibillity of putting it in a Simulclass MkIII and they said that it is not compatible with that power stage design.

BUT!!

I have a friend that put one in a reissue Fender Bassman and it sounds great in that amp.

For many years I used a Peavey Valveverb which is a single rack space unit that contained both a spring reverb unit and a tremolo unit and was the best all tube reverb/tremolo unit I'd ever heard. About 6-8 months ago I heard about the Keeley modded Boss TR-2 pedal and decided to give one a try. I was so impressed that it has replaced the valveverb in my rack. This is the best sounding Tremolo I've heard yet. See it here:

The tremolo on my Valverb drops the volume and is not really useable.

OK 054....NOW YOU'VE GONE AHEAD AND DONE IT!!!!

After reading your suggestion about the supa trem, I checked one out, listened to the soundclips....and ##$@@@^&*^%%&&^%$%^!!!!

NOW I'VE GONE AND BOUGHT ONE!!!!!

The sound of that pedal gave me instant and irresistable GAS.

Found a new condition used one on ebay for $175 shipped.

Actually 054, you know I'm only faking anger....I've been looking for a couple new things...and a trem has been at the back of my mind.

Next up is a Chicago Iron Octavian....gen-u-whine Tychobrae Octavia Clone....lookout! Ol' Red Barchetta is gonna play some Hendrix!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion....I'm sure I'll post once I get it.

Yes, I have been salivating over those Supatrems. I am spending a decent amount of bank on rebuilding my pedalboard, so I am not going to be getting one any time soon, but **** I do want one.

Update:

Supatrem came today (maniacally fast shipping) The pedal is great. Fantastic trem...both modes, hard and soft. I can hear all kinds of musical things awaiting me. I think it was 054 who said "don't buy a trem until you try this pedal"....Believe it. I have heard many trems and trem pedals...I have heard NONE better, and MANY worse.
