Tone sounds pretty nice! Did you make the drum track on your own?

Thanks guys! Sorry for butchering it...my little girl kept screaming and throwing me off time. She digs the metal.

I took the drum and bass track straight off of the Justice CD. It took a couple of days, but I was able to do it.

Jason's performance on Justice is absolutely incredible. I am shocked that the 'tallica boys didn't dig it.

Did Jason actually play on Justice? :)

Sounds great man! I think to really capture the AJFA sound you neen 2 more sub eq's in the loop scooping ALL the mids. Probably my favorite guitar album though.

That and record to tape...plus the tape compression changes the sound quite a bit as well.

To be fair, it's not that they didn't dig the bass, they just wanted the guitars and drums loud as can be.

Yeah...well...it sounds much better with bass. They could remix it and reissue it and make a ton more money cuz we'd all buy it.

Not to sound like a total amateur, but how do you isolate the drums and bass off a CD?

Thanks

It's unfortunate that the bass guitar got the shaft on that album. There are some clips on Youtube with what is claimed to be the original bass more up front in the mix.

Holy Sh!t! Police should play the added bass version of blackened to disperse riots. "COLOR OUR WORLD FLATTENED!"

Actually, I posted the wrong link. This is the one with what claims to be the original bass lines more up front in the mix. The other link had clips with 'added bass', whatever that means.
