Tell me about this Mark IV Please

Here is the serial # - IV009121, can someone find information about when it was made and anything useful that might be known about it? Or tell me how to get the information myself? Here is a picture of, the front grill is ripped a little bit, and it has some knicks and dings. Its selling for $1000, is it worth it?

If it's in good working order $1000 is a great price right now. I would say it's a 94-95, somewhere in that range. As far as worth goes, they're worth as much as people are willing to pay for them, they've been going for between $900 and $1600, so $1000 being on the low end of it, I would say it's worth it. You can always turn around and sell it for at least $1100 and make your money back and then some.

you can also call mesa, give them the serial number, and see what they say. that'd probably be the best way to get info on it. they won't know too much, but they'll at least know when it was made and probably if it has been back for service.

It's definitely one of the B versions...I'd say it's a little younger than '95 tbh...I did some Mark IV research with Mesa, and though I don't remember exactly, the serial number I was checking, which was ealier than this one, was from early '95.

Could be recalling wrong though :lol:

Where you located? $1000 for pickup would be nice, but i dont think i would want to pay the $1000 plus shipping costs.

It is for pickup, its actually from guitar center's used category list. I think they ship them around to the one of the buyer, but this one is close to local for me. However, I think I am gonna get a rackmountable one instead, since I already have a rack case, and a 4x12. Maybe later on get a 1x12 combo frame for the occasional small gig and swap it between chasis. Thanks
