Looks like a early G to me.
No close-up pics or mention of the serial or manufacturing year...

The amp isn't overpriced or anything. It sounds like the seller did a google search and mixed up 'pre-500' with '2 channel dual'. The fact that he said it is late 90s shows that it is mostly likely a Rev G.

I'm not an amp genius by any means, but it is interesting how little some guitar players know about their gear. I see a lot of people calling all 2-channels "pre-500" and of course everyone has a "very rare" or "hard to find" piece of gear.

Yeah, the "very rare" thing always kinda bugs me. Usually those items are anything BUT rare. And if something's that rare, it's usually because not many people liked 'em, so they stopped making them.

I also like when they insult potential buyers, trying to shame them into paying more. Or no details, with "if you're looking at this, then you know what it is". I guess they mean "you know it's overpriced".

I sent him a msg advising him of the "mistake" and giving him info on how to accurately advertise the head. Kind of screwed up trying to inflate the price like that, but anyone that does any minor investigating about the Pre-500s will know that head isn't one. The big tell is that there is no pic of the S/N.
