Hi
I'm looking for advice to modify the lead and contour sounds of my Boogie Subway Rocket. ( if this has been covered before please post a link)
To my ears the lead sound is a too midrangey and quite nasal and the contour the opposite.
I am looking to get a bit more highs and lows in the lead mode and a bit more mid in the contour mode.
Am I correct in surmising that the 680pF cap near the lead relay is a treble shift( bleed) cap and could be removed or replaced with a different value?
Anyone done this and found a value that gives a good compromise?
What about the contour circuit , is this a 4 band EQ with fixed value resistors, if so what values could bring a bit more mid and sl less treble and bass but retaining a slight boost in volume?
I would love to hear from someone who has tweaked their Subway Rocket as there is a very good little amplifier waiting to be unleashed!!
