Studio Preamp Switching and Dimming LED’s

Hey everyone,

I’ve been away for some time. Been enjoying playing life with my Lonestar. I recently switched to a direct stereo setup and pulled the Studio Pre back into service. She sounds great, but recently I’ve noticed a few oddities. Some I can work around, some that need a solution pretty quick.

• Popping coming out of standby

• Bleed through from input to rec out (loop muted with volume pedal)

• Channel switching unstable (fluttering) with remote switching

• Lead and EQ LEDs dimming upon selection

I spent a lot of time searching the forum before posting and think it may be the LDR’s but wanted to ask the community before drawing any conclusions. I’m not familiar enough with the circuitry to correlate the symptoms.

Anyone have a current source for quality LDR’s?
I’m planning on calling Mesa next week to see if they’ll ship.

I was able to order the correct parts directly from Mesa.

On a side note, the activity here sure seems to have dropped. Used to be much more responsiveness on topics even if the members were not intimate with the topic. Just an observation, this still a great forum with amazing members and moderators.
