i am looking at the various cabs - 1x12 and 2x12 - to go with my Mark III and Lonestar. I assume that the Lonestar cab best matches the Lonestar ... we all know how that can be total BS sometimes.

I have a 1x12 halfback that can go with my Mark III combo and sounds okay -

so, tell me about the tonal characteristics of 1x12 and 2x12 extension cabs and the speakers - C90, C30, EV12, whatever ...

I am through with searching for amps between the MarkIII and Lonestar. Thanks.

Don't feel you have to limit yourself to Boogie cabs. I have used many Thiele's but I have also had great luck with Old Hiwatt and Marshall 4 X 14" cabs. I am currently using 2, Marshall 1965B, 4 X 10" cabs and love the sound.

What you need is a Mesa Boogie Thiele loaded with a 200 watt EVM12L speaker. They have the best sound and bass response out of any 1x12 extension cab you will ever find to go with your Boogie amps.

there are alot out there. Try em if you can. If not, read lots of reviews cause the opinions vary widely depending on an individuals tastes...

I love the Mesa thiele, it is compact and adds alot of depth to a open back combo/single 12 ext. cab. I definitely liked it better combined with an open back than two thieles, but that's just my ears.

Having said that, Earcandy and Portwave city cabs both get great reviews for sound and build quality. If the soverign from Earcandy had matched my short head width (its only 18 inches), I would have gotten one.

may want to look at Freda cabs too.... great vented design and sound awesome with just about any amp..... if you want to buy a Basson 2x12 let me know.... awesome sounding.... big and tight
