Hello all,

I own a Mark V 90 combo. I'm looking for an extension cab for it. Looking at the 2x12 vertical Rectifier cab with V30's. It appears to physically/cosmetically match pretty well and I understand it sits well on top of the 2x12. I could connect both cabs or one or the other and still have a combo I could take with me. I am a Metallica guy and the 2x12 Rectifier with V30's seems to be the best pick. I don't want to overlook any other options like a 1x12 Widebody with a C90 or V30 either closed back or 3/4 back.

What's your suggestions and experiences with this kind of setup?

Your comments are much appreciated.

Top heavy. Mark V will fit on to of the vertical 212 cab. Just use caution if this is on carpet. Take the rollers off the cab if you do not want a sudden drop to the floor. The same would apply with the widebody 112 cabs too when used on any soft carpet. First image, had the V90 combo on top of the Vertical 212. Was comparing it to the JP2C on Vert 212. Yes, I had the casters on the cab but did not leave the amp on top for very long. Dog would have knocked it over. Even with the casters off, on carpet it can still be pushed over. On a hard stable surface, not an issue. Would still remove the castors with the combo on top. More stable that way.

The last picture was taken after I removed the stock speaker (C90). Wide body open back 112. I have EV clones in my V and wide body 112 cab. The MC90 sounded great in the 112 cab.
