Some nice gear listed here. I sort of stopped buying amps. I believe the worse purchase I made was an EVH5150 EL34100W. It is ok but very noisy.

My list of amps from most recent to last
Mesa Boogie:
  • Subway TT-800, 2x15, 1x12, and 1x210. Awesome bass cab combo.
  • EVH5150 EL34100W
  • Marshall Silver Jubilee 100W
  • Badlander 100W
  • California Tweed 4:40
  • TC100
  • TC50
  • JP-2C
  • Royal Atlantic combo
  • Royal Atlantic head with matching 412
  • Roadster head
  • Mark V
Amps I parted with and wish I did not.
  • Mark IV combo
  • Mark III combo
I got into drumming so that has been most of my focus.

While I am evaluating to find a new MESA amp (Head) here are some of my owned and current amps.

Amps I owned (too late to regret the sales deal...)
- Mark III combo
- Marshall JCM 800 Lead Series 50W (2204) (1987)
- Marshall JCM800 Lead 50w rørcombo 4210 (1985)

Current amps:
- MEZZABARBA Trinity head (EL34), 3ch. with a Mesa Boogie EQ in the fx loop, can reach very close tones as a Mesa mark IIC+
- MEZZABARBA Nirvana preamplifier, 3CH. used with VHT power amp stage.
- MEZZABARBA Mzero Overdrive head (EL34), Custom options.
- MEZZABARBA Z35 head with Michael Schenker mods (Master + FX loop + internal mods)

Mesa Mark IV

I have owned the DC3, Dual Rectifier Solo Head (original), Stiletto and most recently, the TC-50. I keep thinking there's something better for me than the Mark IV. I am always wrong. My ears are so conditioned to the smooth, saturated gain of the IV that everything else Mesa just isn't on par. A Mark V could possibly replace my IV one day, but some say I'm better off with the IV. It's a 29 year old amp so that is the reason I want to eventually get something newer.

Among my other amps, I've just ordered a TA-15 from guitar center. I've never seen these (in all my 5-6 days of looking!) going for less than mid $700s and got this one for within that range.

They didn't have pics yet but I grabbed it because it was listed as in great condition and if I'm not happy with it I can walk away with a full refund except for shipping.

From what I've seen, these have an incredible range of great tone. 🙂

Here’s my list:

1971 Marshall JMP 50w 1987 small box
Mark IV Rev B
Mark V 90w
JP-2C
Diezel VH4
Lab Series L-11
Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 5
Monoprice 5/15
****** old Fender Champ, modified with Marshall preamp circuit so it sounds less like a fart

Current arsenal:
JP-2C head
Mark V:35 head
Mark V:35 1x12 combo
Thiele 1x12 cabinet
Fillmore 50 watt 1x12 combo (Barcelona Red Crocodile)
Fillmore 1x12 bottom cab (Barcelona Red Crocodile)
2 - Metal grill halfback slant 4x12 cabinets
Positive Grid Spark 40

Would really like to pick up a Badlander 25 head and mini stack cabs to add to the list. 😂

Previously owned:
Trem-O-Verb head with Metal grill halfback cabinet
Roadster head with 4x12 Recto cabinet
Mark IV 1x12 combo
PRS HX/DA 50 watt head and PRS 2x12 cabinet
Rivera Fandango 1x12 combo

Not to go off the main topic, but those guitars are GREAT looking!

No Mesa's - sold everything just before they announced selling the company. I had been a faithful/loyal owner since 1978. I started changing things up, and am more in the Marshall style camp, and specifically Bruce Egnater's Seminar heads had me turning the corner. Recently went to Victory amps - size, features, quality and have also added a few boutique builds - 5E3 by Tyler and a Robinette JCM 800 - in a Princeton package, 1x12" that I've sought out for a number of years after hearing a similar amp by Vince Vance's guitarist - 25W, plenty loud, and all Marshall goodness in a deceiving wrapper!

Mesa Boogie Mark III Hardwood, Green stripe, Beast
1967 Fender Deluxe Reverb with aluminum drip edge
Early Two Rock Custom Signature Reverb, Started life as a head, now a Combo
Early Fender Pro Junior, Tweed

Some of the people here are obviously the reason why the rest of us can't find a Mark IIC+ of any variety for love nor money! Consider hoarding less and sharing more if you've got more than three! How many amps can you really play at once?

Not that I don't live in a house with a lot of windows in it, myself....

At this moment, and in no particular order....

Mesas:
Mark V 90
Mark IIB hardwood straight 60
SOB

Fenders:
1979 Pro Reverb, collector quality condition
400PS, bass/guitar amp, 435 watts RMS all tube, a 90 pound head, the most powerful all tube production amp of all time.

Marshalls:
1969 "Plexi" Superlead, model 1959
1973 Superlead, model 1959
1974 Superlead, model 1959
1977 Model 2203 Master Volume
1976 Model 2204 Master Volume
Master lead Combo, 30 watts, solid state
MG15MSII Micro Stack
Lead 12 Combo
Lead 12 Head

Others:
Fractal Audio Axe-FX II modeller

The list of amps I no longer own is certainly even longer. But I won't bother to list it.

Man, compared to some here, my modest collection is pretty tame by comparison (although my wife doesn't think so 😁)

JP2C
Bogner 20th Anniversary XTC
VHT/Fryette Sig: X
Mezzabarba Trinity
Friedman SS-100, V-1
Suhr PT-15IR
Suhr Hedgehog
Cornford MK50H-II

Mesa Express+ 5:25
Bogner Shiva EL34 (an older one with the silver chassis and goofy fx loop)
Bogner Duende 18w 6V6
ZT Lunchbox (backup - always in the trunk just in case something goes down on a gig)
Positive Grid Spark (for at home)

In the past
Marshall Jcm 900 2x12 100w (new)
Jcm900 1x12 50w
Jcm2000 dsl 60 head
Jcm dsl 401 (new)
Mesa boogie f50 head (new)
F30 1x12
DC3 1x12
Caliber 50+ head
Mark iii Green stripe 60w 1x12
Now:
Mesa boogie DC5 1x12 running trough a 2x12 (mc90& v30)
Studio Pre (non mod but I will this year)
A hand wired 50wats GG ODS 50 2 channel
In the future:
Mesa boogie Badlander 25 (head or combo)
The truth is: when I first pluged into the mesa I couldn't get back to nothing else and this hand wired amp that is a ,,Dumble coppy" I use only the return for my Studio Pre.

I use this with the band. I might add a torpedo captor to add a 2nd ,,virtual cab/mic/room" with the e906.
