Hey guys.
I was thinking today when I had my F-50 before the Dual Recto, I would actually use the recording/headphone out ALOT. While it didn't sound exactly like a speaker, it sounded really good for recording and practicing purposes. It was also perfect, as living in an apt, the 'silent' switch and Mesa's 'emulated' recording/headphone out were godsends.
Now, I love the Dual Recto, I love the versatility, the 3 channels, and most of all the tone better than the F-50 - but it seems to be only usable in a band situation. I've been trying to find ways to use it sort of like I did with the F-50, in silence with the headphones or through a mixer perhaps.
Any ideas of what I could do? What would be perfectly ideal for me, is to actually leave the cabinet at my band's practice space, and bring the head home to practice with. I mean, I could bring the cabinet home every time as well, but I'd really rather not .
I know this involves some sort of purchase, maybe an attenuator to function as a load, or a speaker sim box. Any ideas.
In addtion, I've been checking out people's clips of Mark IV's and really loving the solo tone. Mark IV's also have mesa's recording out and silent switch, would I be better selling my DR for Mark IV? I really love my Dual Recto's tone though.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
