Hey Guys,

I have a lonestar classic and am currently running a pair of "red" 6L6 in the outside sockets and a pair of "green" in the inside pair. Will this cause any issues running in 100w mode?

I just got it back from mesa with two of my original tubes which were red and two new green ones. I'm assuming it's safe as they are close in the scale anyways.

Thanks for the reply though, I'll check the manual and see if it mentions it.

The colors serve to match tubes in pairs. The power tubes in most amps are paired X Y Y X, an inner pair and an outer pair. The "X" tubes should be the same color and likewise for the "Y"s.
So you are cool. :D
