RUMOR: Randall Smith Fired/Retired from Mesa

Howdy Gents,

Other forums and guitar news outlets are reporting that Randall Smith has left Mesa, with alternate stories stating that he was pushed out, fired or retired last week. Anyone have some insight into this?

It’s all hearsay until we hear it from the man himself or Gibson.

Randall Smith himself said he planned to retire, timing would be about right. The man is 80, time for him to relax and enjoy life without the stress of running a company.
