Hi all,

i just picked up a used Studio Preamp, love the sound and everything seems to be working except it looks like at one time in its life someone replaced the toggle switch with a 1/4 jack so when it was racked up they could switch between "low & line" by using a foot-switch or something. Probably so they wouldn't have to get into the back side of their rack. Anyway when I opened it up the jack was completely broken and no wires were connected to it.

I would like to put the toggle switch back in and picked up a toggle to instal. I checked out the schematics and also found a picture of the inside by doing a search on the boogie boards.

This brings me to my question. the picture is a little hard to see but it looks like the connections should be from left to right looking at it from the front:

Left connection - red wire, center connection - green wire, right connection orange wire.

Is this correct?

Or should it be:

Left connection - red wire, center connection - bare (I am guessing ground) wire coming up from "return B jack", right connection both orange and green wire?

If someone could take a look inside their studio pre and let me know I would greatly appreciate the help. :|

Thanks,

Jon

OK, here we go, hope this helps.

Oriantation: control panel facing you, rear of chassis facing away,
top left = effects level switch
top right = effects send jack
bottom left = return B jack
bottom right = return A jack

I made a drawing of the connections. I've labeled the terminals from left to right beginning with the upper left

The send jack only has two terminals. The terminal closest to the rear I labeled 1 and terminal closest to the control panel I labeled 2.
