Hi everyone,

I have a rectoverb head - I think it was the best thing ever - lightweight -plenty of headroom for 50 watts+
Very nice and convenient footswitch, clean, channel 2, boost and my fav (REVERB)

Now what would be the reason to discontinue this? I have no idea.

The Dual and Triple have NO REVERB and they are much heavier. The footswitch is bigger on the Dual and Triple rec and they are heavier.

Yes the Roadster is nice but it the footswitch is way too big.

Anyone feel the same way? We should tell boogie about it - I did.

One other question here - How many out there have trying to add a reverb pedal to a dual rec to compensate for this loss?

Were you happy with the results?

Thanks!

The market decided. If a product sells well, Mesa will make it for decades. If not, it's discontinued.

Clearly the market for Rectos is people who want high volume and no reverb. There is also a bit of magic attributed to the dual and triple that was not associated with the single, so people will "trade up" from the single if there is any chance they can afford it.

I think the Roadster does well because it has SO MANY features, including 4 channels. The RVerb can't compete.

It's very easy to put a good reverb in the loop.

I use my Single 50 as a pedal platform amp and keep it set for a mild OD crunch tone.
I would like am older 2-channel dual for more straight up brutal stuff, but I would still keep my Single.
