I've seen the Foo's every time they've played in MA since the first album waaaay back in '95. Back then as someone said it was marshalls and Fender twins. Cut to the 2nd record it was DR's and still fender twins (live and studio) the third record and subsequent tour was Dual Rectos and Vox AC-30's(they played a local smaller venue and had 5 recto cabs hung from the ceiling in an arrow (^) formation, wicked cool!). That was the standard until the In your Honor disc which was RKI's for both Dave and Chris (This is when the whole Arsenal of amps was used for the studio with RKI combos used for the tour) I just saw them a week ago and It was: Pat Smear-Lonestar Combo (mic'd) Chris Shiflett RKII combos (with misc. rack gear, driving a recto 4X12) and the same setup goes for Mr. Grohl. Awesome Combination awesome band, Incredible show!
