Care to elaborate more on your settings and Marshall cab? Killer song, but I have to admit (gonna show my age here) that the "throat" vocals sound a bit clownish to me. Never did get into that whole thing...

Great death metal tone! More info please! Mics used, position, double tracked etc...

thanks for listening.

Amp was my '93 2ch Dual...modern, bold, red
Cab was MArshall JCM900 with g12t-75.

For some reason, the boogies seem to also like Marshall cabs. The EMG 18v mod also really helps! Very cool... post some more songs if you get a chance.

Incidentally, a Marshall JCM2000 TSL 60 head sounds amazing through a Mesa Standard Rectocab, at least when running with a Gibson Les Paul Standard! I'm not such a huge fan of the 1960a Lead cab though. I prefer the Marshall 1960vintage or 1960ac. (Celestion Greenbacks or v30s) Then again, I'm not much of a metal player even if I love the genre. I more like to play hard rock with a hint of metal for good measure.

The tone on this rig is brilliant, btw. Most metal players try to EQ the crap out of their tone and run an embarassingly large pedal board. It starts to sound stupid after awhile.

I didn't think you could get a tone that good from a rectifier. That's why I bought a MarkV.

Killer riffs man. Not derivative = good death metal.

If I had to compare it I would say Decapitated meets early Monstrosity... but better.

Want to trade a cd?

wow, nice compliment.
It's not my band, I'm just the producer, but I'm sure the Band would be cool with a trade once the CDs are pressed. I'll ask them
