I have a Recto Standard 4x12 with V30's, I have 2 extra 8 Ohm Black Shadow Custom 90's. Is it worth it to try swapping out 2 of the v30's and run 2 x v30's and 2 x c90's? What kind of change could i expect.

I play rock to metal and am looking for a good heavy tone that isnt so ear piercing.

Thanks

ya it will sound different. Since it is easy enough to swap speakers i would just go for it to see what its like. Maybe even try differnt placement like diagonaly or c90 on the left.

my personal coice for speakers are evs :D

I'd be curious to try a vertical 2x12 vith EV.

That should be the cab to end all cabs.

No, my 4x12 Halfback (fully closed) with 4 EV's is the end all be all

If you already have 2 C90's definatly throw them in there and see how you like it! Should sound a bit more well rounded

Herer's one we prepared earlier. EVM 12L in the ported bottom half. JBL K120 in the open top half.

It'll kill ya...

I installed the C90's in the bottom and V30's up top and it sounds amazing. so much more beef without breaking up too much. I am very happy that i did it.
