Hey guys, looking for some recording tips with my mark iv wide body combo and my prs mccarty...
Recently my 3-piece band (guitar, bass, drums) started recording at my home. Now I'm not expecting amazing recordings, but my tone sounded pretty weak. I don't know if it is the recording, or just that I've never really "listened" to my tone, since I'm playing while listening. I had a Shure 57 off center from my speaker going into my friends interface/computer. I think he is using pro tools, but i'm not positive. Anyways, any tips on beefing up the tone a little? It just sounded weak, not how a McCarty through a mark iv should sound.
Other info: I'm playing All JJs with 4 6L6s. The recording room is an all birck room with some random furniture spread around (couches, tables, etc).
Any tips? Thanks!
