If it were me I'd skip the custom options idea as it is way overpriced. You can get a much better amp stock for the money. If I were you I'd get a new 2010 Dual Rect Multi Watt. It is a Single and Dual Rect in one, has bold and spongey settings, and diode and rectifier tracking, etc. It would be money better spent IMO. If for some reason you ever had to sell a custom Single Rect you would be out the money you paid for the custom options as well. I saw a used custom RoadKing II on Ebay a while back and it only went for like $2200.00 dollars. I'm willing to bet the guy lost at least $1600+ between the custom options and the fact that it was used. The only way I'd ever get the custom options is if I had an endorsement with Mesa or got a huge artist discount through Mesa. Otherwise no thanks.... :)

lol, agreed... unless you have a money tree growing in your backyard that is :p

The colors you have chosen look beautiful, however GuitarGuy's logic is hard to argue with. If indeed you have a money tree, I'd go with the wine and tan.

the money is not that big of a deal, it is not really that much, like the hardwood

It's your money man. :) I just think getting a stock multi watt dual rect and cab would be money better spent. :)

I am thinking that the dual will be a better option, the custom stuff is really not that much more, where as the difference in price between the dual and single is much more. I got about a month to think about it, also I can get the dual with jute at no up charge it looks like.

How much more is the custom stuff if you don't mind me asking? I'm just curious as I've never looked into it but have always assumed that it was expensive since its a custom option.

Our new pricelist says $179 for vyn. and it includes the jute grill in the pricing, so if you think about it, ordering out of state, paying no tax almost makes up for the cost. The hardwoods are more like 1k plus when you get into exotics, I really dug the single I was going to buy before it went ••poof•• with a bad transformer from someone leaving it on in our store with no speaker hooked up.

Not to bad. Does that cover just the custom color of the head? If so, what would you be looking at to match a cab? What cab format are you looking at?

Yeah, and custom just WITHOUT vinyl is $109, if I'm not mistaken. It's totally worth it to go all out and get what you want, unless black is what you want. I know a lot of people who prefer the look of the stock black vinyl.

Ya not as bad as I thought it would be. Black is always a safe color for me though. :) Wine Taurus with black corners and a black jute grill would be slick though..... :)

yeah there some really good combos as far as color goes out there, crap, now I want a DUAL with the custom options!!

Ya the multi watt feature was a great addition. Plenty of wattage on tap whatever your playing situation may be.

certainly, what I really liked about the single was the diode and 50 watts, so no reason not to go dueal, right

the Rocker and Thunder verbs are killer amps, I used them for a while when deciding what to go with, the boogies just get more sounds, if I could buy a rocker verb for crunch, a fender for clean, and boogie for gain, I would, but I cant so boogie to me does all those sounds the best out of all 3. Your singer could always buy it for you!
