Was just wondering,

Whilst looking at the back of my Mark IV I noticed that the EVM speaker has no serial number where it should be. The space is just blank.

Should I be curious about this or is it somewhat normal?

Just bought my first Mark IV, also no serial number on the speaker.
But I'm curious about the serial number of the amp itself...where can I find that on a widebody combo?

cheers

Not sure exactly what a lack of serial number means, but note that the Black Shadow sticker was very likely added at the Mesa factory, not installed by EV.
Mark IV serial numbers should be on a plate on the chassis underside, just outboard of the transformer.
Hope this helps :D

If you peel the Mesa label off, there should be a serial # on the EV itself.

FWIW, I've checked mine (a glorious Rev.A handbuilt in Petaluma in 1992 :D ), and it shows a "9115" punched where the serial is supposed to be.
