Mk III red or green???

I’m just noticing my Mk III has a green squiggle and red “R” near the power cord hole.
Thought it was a green stripe from sellers info but now am curious.
Serial # is 28041.

Red stripes ended around 22000.
No question green stripe if it is DRG (simul-class, reverb, eq).
28000 is a late green.

That's to indicate the "reverb mod". It's an update in the MKIII design to help the reverb suck less.

Did they come from the factory that way with the R? I would think by 28000 they had the reverb figured out. I think it is beefing up the wattage handing of a resistor(s) but idr if it's more than that. It's jangling around in my head and I could be wrong but I think it was the load resistor for the reverb driver, maybe 1W to 2W?

Honestly I'm not sure. The thing to do would be to try & find photos of green stripes without it.
