i feel like a million bucks today ,25 years of playin Marshall amps and today i got my first boogie!! a roadster dual rectifier, with matching 2 x 12 bottom ... was wondering if you guys can help me out ,is there any tricks i should know about settings ect.., set it up basic ,sounds great!!!! i play in a black label tribute band in chicago,www.myspace.com/blessedhellride1 , thanks ..cc

Enjoy it! That's my advice

Seriously though, pop some EL-34s in there, and crank here up. The Roadster is a much better amp with EL-34s IMO. Much easier to dial in.

My only advise is to start with all EQs and gain at NOON with presence OFF and then start tweaking. Remember to use your ears not your eyes and throw out anything you learned about dialing in your Marshall. This is a MESA and is completely different. Read the manual several times as well. It tells you how the EQ and gain interact. For example, the more gain you use the darker and more compressed the tone.

I loved my Roadster. I would love to have one to go with my Mark V one day. It's an easy amp to dial in IMO. I liked the stock Mesa tubes just fine in mine, but YMMV. Congrats and enjoy!

Congrats! The Roadster is awesome, I love mine. The mention about the EL34s is really good, I am currently running them in mine and really like the ones. Coming from Marshall you might too.

I guess I'm different, and actually prefer the 6L6 tone I'm getting from my Roadster. Got the Stiletto Deuce II for that EL34 British type of tone...

Setting wise, just read the manual, and if you fiddle around a little with that knowledge in hand, you'll be gold...
