Hi, everyone. I just purchased a 3 channel dual recto in white. I have two marshall silver jubilee straight cabs that I modified with 2 vintage 30's and 2 g12t-75's in each cab. I replaced the cheap particle board backing and made each cab into a 3/4 open back with 3/4 inch birch. I also installed a jcm switch so i can have more options for impedence settings.

Now my problem is that I want to use both cabs because they sound crushing and I'm not sure what would be the best ohm's selection on the cabs and the recto. I don't want to have a safe mismatch. I want the cabs to run at top performace. If I don't have other options, should I just rewire cabs for 8 ohms....Please help, Thanks.

me and my buddy boh run 2 16ohm cabs into the 8ohm jacks making the total load 8 ohms.

1 4, 8 or 16ohm cab = corresponding jack

2 16ohm cabs = 8 ohm jacks

2 8 ohm cabs = 4 ohm jacks

Consult the manual for safe mismatches.

If your cabs are 16 ohm now, you can't wire them up for 8-ohm operation.
