i'd appreciate it if you would go to the myspace page and listen to the latest track "velvet topography" . Most of the guitars were recorded with a line 6 flextone II xl amp, but one of the distorted guitars at the end is my Mark IV on the rhy2 channel. don't ask why i didn't use the mark for all the guitars, it was kind of a matter of what equipment was around at the time... and since i live in an apartment i can't really mic my cabinet with a strong enough signal, so all guitars had to be recorded direct. i had some reservations for a while about the mark iv recording out (before, it had always sounded thin and brittle), but after using it for the one track on this song i have changed my mind about it and really like how it sounds. i sold my line 6 amp which i was using just for direct recording, and don't think i will be buying another modeling preamp to replace it as i am happy with direct recording with the mark iv
