Not easy for me to demo these used combos, but the guy selling the MK2 C says that it passes the loop test and yet the serial number (obviously) and front plate (no deep pull switch) as well as no visible + makes me sceptical. However if it is "just a C" then how does this differ from a MK3 lead and clean sound. Which would have more gain, which would be smoother sounding, and which would have a fatter and fuller sound?

Thanks

Both can have a fat full sound using the "Pull Gain" or "Pull Deep". As far as gain it's the MK III by a mile.
It's R2 can be useful as well. IMO, they both have similar cleans, which are always a bit better using four 6L6's in a Simul
or if it came as a 60/100.
