The 3ch rectos have a high gain rythym and high gain lead, why didn't Mesa do this for the V? Or does the V have lots of metal gain on ch 2?

I've seen others make this observation as well, wanting, for example, the C+ and Mark IV modes to be on separate channels (footswitchable).

But to offer a possible answer, previous Mark amps did not operate that way, so maybe it's in keeping with the Mark lineage?

Crunch mode has nearly as much gain as the third channel, and Mark I mode has as much, they are just voiced differently. it's a non issue to me.
