This thread here is pretty busy. I'm guessing there will be lots of whatever you're looking for.

I got one of these a little while ago, as a possible looping solution and all-purpose delay. I like it enough.

Positives:
  • Preset capability
    Can sound very analog
Not too big on the pedalboard
    Reverse-echo
    Tap-delay
    Chorus-ey modulation

Negatives:
  • Multi-function knobs have taken me a while to get a grasp on
    Audible level-drop when engaged
    Rough transitions between loop repeats

I don't use a lot of fx, and I have an old AD9 which I love; I needed a little more for a project, and for the money the Haz fit the bill. The biggest hesitation I had with the pedal was the level drop, which I discovered I could minimize by keeping the Blend control at or below 11:00. So that problem is basically solved, though it potentially limits what I can do with it a little... but no big deal for me. The loop hiccup also kinda prevents me from using that feature at all, but this also ended up not being a real problem for the project. In the end I find that I mostly use just a couple of presets, different tones on a basic delay (a high and a low filter setting), and I use the tap-timing feature and I'm good.

If I was serious about live or recording delay effects, I'd look for something else, but for this situation, clubs, just fooling around... not a bad choice.

I tried one out at my local music store. Maybe I didn't spend enough time with it, but I didn't really like it. It sounded pretty digital (thin).

I have another thread here discussing the Eventide Timefactor. I am actually weighing up between it and the EH Hazarai which is of course more attractive financially and seems to cover most of the basics of what these pedals are capable of. The videos that I have seen on Youtube were quite ok for both of them...

So... has anybody done a A/B test between these two pedals or has anyone some experience of both which they would like to share?

Funny you should ask that, because I just posted about a good source for comparisons like this here. The place I mention has both of these pedals (I took a look because I wanted to hear what they could get out of the Haz)

Based on what I know, the Eventide's probably waaaay better on most quality points... just depends on how budget/form factor/learning curve all come into play for you.
