Mark V90 1x12 Combo and cabinet help

I have a mark V90 combo
Just got a mesa rectifier 240 watt 4x12 used from sweetwater but my sales engineer wasn’t able to answer my questions
I’d appreciate any help
I’d like to know how to safely hook up my combo to my 4x12 with and without the combo speaker. I’ve done some research on the internet but it leaves be confused or unsure with similar threads elsewhere

If you just want to use the 412 by itself and not the combo speaker, just unplug the combo speaker from the back. Then you will need a speaker cable from the amp to the cab. Use the 8 ohm jack on the back of the amp, then route the speaker cable to the 8 ohm jack on the 412 cab. It is that simple. It would be the all silver one just below the C2-76935 number.

If you want to use the combo speaker and the 412 cab at the same time, plug the combo speaker into the bottom 4 ohm jack and the speaker cable into the top 4 ohm jack. Leave the speaker cable in the 8 ohm jack on the back of the cabinet.

Note that the two 4 ohm jacks on the back of the speaker cab is only for use as a stereo combination, meaning, you can run two amps into this cabinet as the four speakers are wired in parallel/series. Two speakers connected in parallel for the 4 ohms, and then in series to complete the 8 ohms. When nothing is plugged into the 8 ohm jack, there is a mechanical switch inside the jack that will open the series connection between the pair of speakers in parallel.

Sure, you can use the cab with the 4 ohm circuit, only one jack should be used and plug that into the 4 ohm jack on the back of the amp. Do not have any other speakers or cables plugged into the other 4 ohm jack on the amp. If you did something like connecting two speaker cables from the two 4 ohm jacks on the amp to each 4 ohm jack on the cabinet, you will burn up your amp as that will result in a total impedance load of 2 ohms as seen by the amplifier. DO NOT DO THAT. Not yelling. Just emphasizing that would be a bad thing.

Cab is 8 ohms in mono, combo speaker is 8 ohms. Plug both into the two 4 ohm jacks, or plug either one into the top 8 ohm jack.
