anyone running a stereo setup w/ their mark IV? I know the recommended companion is the simul-satellite, but does anyone have any good experience with other (cheaper) options for running your effects stereo ?

I love the stereo feature on the Mark IV!

I run a PODxt into the Mark IV's effects loop. With the PODxt in the bypass mode, I can avoid the amp and cab models and just get the effects.

From the Mark IV's satellite out I plug into my DC-5's effects return.
TRUE STEREO!!! The satellite out of the Mark IV really works.

This takes the two amps at six feet apart to get the stereo field right. The extra setup is worth it.

I am amazed at the stereo fx; lush and wide chorus and even ping pong delays.

This is the best of both worlds with this setup, I get the Mesa sounds with the great effects from the PODxt in stereo. :D

To get back to mono I just click off the loop.
