Mark IV Medium head knob alignment

I have a 2006 Mark IV medium head, and I notice that the top row of control knobs (R1 gain, R2 gain, R2 treble, etc.) overlap the lettering for those knobs, covering them quite a bit. Pictures of other Mark IV heads don't have this, the letters are close but they aren't overlapped by the knobs.

Is this a common thing or perhaps was everything jarred out of place during shipping? Thanks for any input.

I have a 2006 short head and there's app. 1mm between the knob and the text below and to the side. I guess if it's perfect on a short head it should be perfect on a medium head.
