And in the case that I don't need the extra headroom, or I am just goin to be jamming at a friend's house, I can grab just the thiele and the head. Ultra portable for sure! I paid slightly more than I would expect to pay because they are matching and the thiele is supposed to sound incredible. I guess they are somewhat of a rarity to find, so the total price reflects that. And the timing couldn't be better.
Good luck with your search! I'll send you some pics of my setup when everything gets delivered. PM me your email address so we can continue talking about this stuff and let this thread die down.
PS - I just got the new Dream Theater album and Petrucci plays a Mark IV on it and it sounds AWESOME. I know what I want my rig to sound like now.
Later.
Cool man, definitely going to be a nice rig you've got there. Definitely going to be able to get that Petrucci liquid lead with that beast  .
Speaking of Petrucci tone, I had the opportunity to try out a bunch of gear today at Guitar Center and luckily enough they had a Roadking halfstack and a Petrucci JP-6 Mystic Dream. I absolutely love that JP-6. I think that is the best guitar I have played at a shop in quite a while, I was actually surprised they had one there. Perfect sound and that Piezo kills for acoustic simulation. The Roadking sounded great and I would love to pick up a series two model at some point, get the versatility of the Mark series and Rectifier series. Oh well, so much gear, so little money.
