Mark III power / headroom loss... (problem solved)

i traced this down to a bad PI tube. i had purchased a "balanced" tung-sol from the tube-depot or the tubestore (don't remember which) for use in the phase-inverter socket but once i swapped it out for a new mesa/jj my Mark came back to life. :twisted:

i really wish i understood this stuff better or maybe had a good tube tester.

Same thing happened to my DC-10....changed the PI tube and it was back.
