I know that the class A power section of the green stripe Mark III is different, but if you had the Mark III C+ mod done to any Mark III amplifier, would this supercede or override any of the pre-amp stripe versions? (Black, purple, blue, red and green.)

I've got a Mark III green stripe (EQ, Simulclass, verb) that I ordered new in '89, and I believe it wouldn't make sense to do a C+ "upgrade", because I think it would be a "change" in this case, not necessarily something better. As the different versions got voiced, I understood the Green (pentode, or whatever it is) lead channel rips as good as a 2C+.

BTW, I just added a 4x12 1960AHW cabinet and this thing rocks big time, as well as still being versatile. Mark III is still my #1 amp.
