Hi, writing to ask for advice.
Just bought Mark 5:35 Head, I am happy with the sound and versatility of the amp.
However, it does not seem to work well with my wah pedal (Dunlop Cry Baby, Buddy Guy Sign.).
When the wah is on and used, there is unpleasant noise (hissing), particularly in high frequencies.
Could you recommend any other wah pedals which would fit better with this amp and not produce the noise?
Preferred is a versatile wah with a wider range of tone.
Thanks a lot!
Dave

Hey Dave, sorry I can't answer your question but how does your 35 sound with other pedals? Does it work well well with an overdrive boosting your drive channel? Or how about pedals played through your clean channel? Any good?

What style of music are you playing? I use a Morley Dragon Wah 2, that I loved with my Mark V (90 Watt). I was playing a lot of high gain stuff though....

I can't imagine it'd be your amp or how the pedal works with it. I'd lean more towards what could be wrong with the pedal. If your amp sounds fine without it and not with it's connected, you're "introducing" the issue whether it'd be the pedal or a cable. That said, I've always used a Budda wah with my old one and it sounds fantastic.

Hi, I play mainly hard-rock and blues-rock (rather dirtier and heavier stuff). I will look at Morley Wah, thanks! D.

Hi, well, it seems like Cry Baby Buddy Guy Wah does not fit with Mesa. With Orange Amp Twin Channel 100 it workes well, no noise, the same cable and chain.
I was adviced to try the original Cry Baby GCB95 but unfortunately it is the same. So I might try another Wah, not Dunlop Cry Baby.

Hi, both clean and drive channel sound great. I play mainly the drive channel in the mode Mark IV. There is switchable Solo Boost independent for each channel so I do not need any other overdrive boosting with this amp. Rarely Maxon Overdrive with clean channel and the same for drive channel for solo.
I also use Chorus in the effect loop. THe TC Electronics Chorus works well, MXR Chorus increases the noise as well.
