Boogie Heads,
Let's put our heads together and share settings for the dirty channel on the LSS...Mine are,
Treble at 12 o clock
Mid at 9
Bass at 9
Gain at 3
Drive at 2
Set to 15 watts for smaller gigs, 30 for bigger clubs

Nice cutting tone that's smooth and responsive, and allows me to get some nice squeals when I choose to...However, I am looking to achieve Clapton's current tone...any suggestions??

I don't have an LSS but would like to suggest that you also include the type of guitar, type of pickup and position of pickup on the guitar (neck, middle, bridge). HUGE difference from say, a Les Paul with a distortion class humbucker in the bridge to a Strat with an EMG SA in the neck. :D :D :D

True that...Fender USA deluxe, stock pups, PRS CE-22 maple top, T.C. Electronics G-Major in the loop...Yep, love it!!!

Yeah, but its not descriptive enough...besides, this can be useful to everyone on the board!!! :p

I use the following for channel 2:

Thickest
Drive - 12:00
Gain - 2:00
Treble - 2:00
Mid - 12:30
Bass - 9:30
Presence - 11:30

That's with either sc or hb's.

Using Epiphone Dot Delux with SD59 in Neck and SDJB in Neck (with coil split)

Warm Reverb on Both Channels

Clean Channel
Gain at 9 OClock
Treble 12 OClock
Mid 2 O Clock
Bass 1 O Clock
Presence 12 OClock
Master 12 O Clock
Volume at 9 OClock

On the Bridge PicKup it is ACDC Back in Black particularly if I increase the gain and volume a bit)
With the coil split it is Bryan Adams
To get a clean either use the solo channel and play gently or roll down the volume
Using Bridge and Neck is very Robben Ford clean tupe sound
Neck i have to role off the volume or it can fart a bit

On Channel 2

Gain at 2
Treble at 1
Mid at 12
Bass at 12
Presence at 11
Master at 3

This gives me a thick Garry More type sound for rythm or lead
If I kick in my MI Audio Blues Pro as a volume boost it is Garry Moore lead sound.

Great core sounds, I struggle with the clean and inherit brightness and somitemes the bass causes the am to sound like a fart (on clean or dirty).

Anyone try to nail a Clapton-ish tone??? Particulary his newer tone, circa his tours over the past few years??
