Tell us about the live gigs you attended. All genres have at it.
Last gig I attended was Iron Maiden at concord sleep train pavilion / yeah over a year ago and it was a awesome show. Those guys are pros in every sense of the word.

In that case.....I saw Jeff Beck at the Ulster County Performing Arts Center last June. Had 7th row seats. It's a smaller type of theater so you can see from everywhere. Still from the 7th row it was a great show. Imelda May opened and then joined him on stage to do a Les Paul number (How High The Moon). He used a LP for that song, when it was over the guitar fell off the stand and then he kicked it. Again I must of been 10 - 15 feet away from him, got to see everything.

A few months before that I saw him again with Clapton at MSQ in NYC. Another great show.

Just got back from the Dream Theater Dramatic turn of events tour kick off at the Warfield in San Francisco. Trivium opened up and did an energetic set.
Dream theater kicked out a strong performance with their new drummer Mike Mangini. They all looked liked they were having a good time and for a tour kick off I thought they were incredibly tight. Mangini did not disappoint he had a huge kit and used every bit of it and did a drum solo as well which was very good. So I Visited the Warfield 20 plus years ago on images and words and had a good time with dream theater, I bought their first two albums and enjoyed both but haven't really been following them but did catch them with iron maiden in concord last year.
This was a better show than the Maiden show with rightfully their own dedicated fans and they got a rousing stop the show ovation on their first stop after the first two songs which was pretty moving.
These guys have serious chops and the bar is just so high through out it's hard to put into  words what you just experienced.
John P was amazing I really enjoyed hearing him play again he's a real technician but still has soul in his playing and is incredibly fast leads while still laying down some heavy chunk prog metal grooves also.
Labrie sounded strong as well I would say he sounded better overall tonight than he did 20 years ago, more control staying within range for the majority but I did not know all the material but I thought he sounded good.
They did a little two song acoustic bit as well... Silent man and something else sounded good.
Good times
