I'm new to the board and figured that this was a good place to weigh in on.

I started with a Studio 22+ w/EQ. I always thought the gain channel was too thin on the 22+ so I added a V-Twin for a really singing overdrive tone, plus a sealed-back rectifier 1x12 cabinet with a V30 and played with that combination for about 8 years.

I sold the 22+ and cab and moved up to an F50 that I really liked and didn't need the V-Twin but kept it just in case. The F50 got stolen :( but I replaced it with a Lonestar Special 1x12 combo :D "Every dark cloud has a silver lining."

I've had the LSS for about 1 1/2 years and aside from the rectifier tube going twice it's been a trouble free amp that I appreciate more and more the longer I own it. I usually play it straight, without effects, although I occasionally put the V-Twin on it in blues mode with a 12AT7 tube in one socket to really make it sustain at practice volumes.

Mesa support has alway been excellent. When the reverb tank "tanked" on the 22+ they sent me a new one even though it was long out of warranty. Mesa's a great company!

Triaxis & 2:90 pushing 2 Recto 2x12 horizontal cabs - Fantastic rig, so versatile, killer tone, but a pain in the *** to haul around. It was also overkill (180 Watts!!!) for my needs, so I downsized.

Rectoverb Series II Combo - Surprisingly versatile, great sound. After a while, I got tired of the "Recto" sound (too buzzy and boomy) and found myself missing my Triaxis & 2:90 (Lead 2 Yellow). Considered swaping for a Rectoverb head and cab, but decided to go back to Mark series tones.

Mark IVa Compact Combo w/ EV speaker- Fantastic amp. Not quite as versitile as the Triaxis & 2:90, but very close. It hits all the same great tones I loved from my rack setup, and is A LOT easier to move around. I may add a closed back cab for more beef, but for now I'm content.
