About the EQ:
I have an MXR 10 band. I used to swear by it. Then I learned I like the loop bypassed even better. Then I tried different settings with the EQ and liked it a lot. Then I bypassed the loop and liked it more still. It's a fun tool though. I use it on my very inexpensive B52 and it makes it sound like twice the amp I paid for.
